Role Overview

The HSE Section Head leads health, safety, and environmental engineering initiatives for SSCL. This full-time role involves developing and implementing strategies to ensure a safe working environment, driving compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. The position is based in Makkah, with operations also in Jeddah, and focuses on promoting a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement HSE strategies, programs, and risk control measures to maintain a safe working environment.
Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and Job Safety Analyses (JSA) across operational activities.
Monitor and report HSE KPIs, including incident rates, audit completion, and regulatory compliance.
Conduct site inspections and HSE audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Collaborate with project teams and operational personnel to integrate HSE requirements into daily operations.
Deliver HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with international HSE standards, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
Develop, maintain, and update HSE documentation, safety plans, reports, and records.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement initiatives to enhance HSE performance.
Provide technical HSE support during emergency response situations.
Mentor junior HSE personnel and provide technical guidance on HSE best practices.
Promote a strong safety culture, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement in alignment with organizational objectives.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety, and Environment roles.
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HSE strategies and programs.
Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
Strong understanding of risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation methodologies.
