About the Role

EDITION Hotels is seeking a dedicated Hostess to join The Jeddah EDITION team. This full-time position in Jeddah is integral to delivering a world-class luxury experience, combining the visionary approach of boutique hospitality with the service standards of a global brand. The role focuses on creating a welcoming and organized environment for guests within the dining areas.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The Hostess is responsible for managing guest flow and seating arrangements, ensuring a seamless and pleasant dining experience from arrival to departure. This involves direct guest interaction, maintaining dining area standards, and supporting the overall service delivery of the establishment. The position requires attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival and accurately determine the size of their party.
• Seat guests efficiently at clean, available tables, ensuring proper setup with chairs pulled out and current menus provided.
• Guide guests through dining rooms and offer assistance as needed.
• Arrange tables, chairs, and settings to accommodate groups, including those with special requirements.
• Verify that all place settings are complete with napkins, clean silverware, and standard items.
• Inspect menus for cleanliness, currency, and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, adhering to clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, and guest well-being and safety.
• Adhere to all company safety and security policies; report incidents and complete required training.
• Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance and uniform, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company service standards.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with guests and colleagues, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
• Foster positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns.
• Ensure adherence to established quality expectations and standards.
• Perform physical tasks including standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods, and lifting objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.
• Execute other reasonable job duties as assigned by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required for this position.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
• License or Certification: None.
