Role Overview

Edition is seeking a dedicated Host/Hostess to join its team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to delivering exceptional guest service. The primary responsibility of this role is to create a welcoming environment for all guests and ensure a seamless and enjoyable dining experience from arrival to departure.

Core Responsibilities

• Greet guests upon arrival, determine party size, and welcome them according to company standards.
• Efficiently seat guests at clean, available tables, ensuring chairs are pulled out and current menus are placed appropriately.
• Guide guests through dining areas and provide any necessary assistance.
• Manage dining room seating, including moving and arranging tables, chairs, and settings, and organizing seating for groups with special needs.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette and communicate with others using clear, professional language.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Operational Standards and Guest Experience

• Ensure all place settings are appropriate, with each guest having a napkin, clean silverware, and other standard items.
• Verify menus are current, clean, plentiful, and wrinkle-free.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day by practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Ensure adherence to all quality expectations and service standards.

Workplace Conduct and Physical Demands

• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, or unsafe work conditions to management; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
• The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.

Required Experience and Attributes

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a similar guest service role is required.
• Demonstrated ability to follow established company policies and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• A commitment to maintaining professional standards and contributing to a positive team environment.
