Accountant

About the Role

Leylaty Group is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team in Jeddah. This full-time role operates within a hospitality, catering, and food & beverage environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial transactions.
• Handle daily accounting activities, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Prepare and review invoices, payments, receipts, and supporting financial documents.
• Perform daily sales reconciliation and verify revenue from restaurants, catering, and F&B operations.
• Monitor cash, credit card, POS, and other payment transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliation.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies as required.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and management reports as required.
• Monitor expenses, purchases, and operational costs, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Support inventory accounting and reconciliation for food, beverage, and other operational supplies.
• Assist in monitoring food and beverage costs and identifying variances.
• Ensure proper recording and classification of expenses and revenues.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and records for audit purposes.
• Support external and internal audits by providing required financial information and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Perform other accounting duties assigned by the Finance Manager or management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in an accounting role.
• Demonstrated attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Work Environment

This role is based in Jeddah and involves working within a dynamic hospitality, catering, and food & beverage environment. It is a full-time position.
