Facilities Management Consultant

About the Role

Dussmann Ajlan & Bros is seeking a Facilities Management Consultant to join their team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and involves providing expert guidance and management for facilities services to clients and service providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to clients and FM service providers for hard and soft services, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and standards such as SFG20, NFPA, SBC, ASHRAE, CIBSE, and BICSc.
• Manage and support the project team, including FMMA engineers, QHSE specialists, soft service specialists, and document control personnel.
• Identify service delivery gaps of FM service providers and develop improvement plans to meet client expectations.
• Manage facility management service providers on behalf of clients, encompassing performance evaluations, technical guidance, gap analysis, O&M monitoring, training, and cost control.
• Lead detailed asset condition surveys to estimate replacement costs and develop tender documents for asset replacement.
• Support clients during the tender stage, including document review, installation inspections, T&C witnessing, and asset handover.
• Develop and support the project team in creating facility management policies, procedures, and other ad hoc documents for clients.
• Evaluate technical and commercial documents from FM service providers and clients.
• Manage VVIP sites and maintain standard facilities management operations and maintenance.
• Develop and implement facility management strategies that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
• Conduct training sessions for clients and FM service providers' staff on best practices and standards in facility management.
• Assist soft service specialists in implementing best practices and standards for pest control, landscaping, and housekeeping.
• Ensure service providers adhere to contractual clauses and statutory requirements, providing recommendations as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing facilities and systems.
• Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response plans.
• Identify opportunities for energy savings and sustainability improvements.
• Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Provide expert advice to clients regarding facility operations and management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. A business administration degree is advantageous.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CFM, FMP, PMP, or similar.
• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in facility management within the Middle East, with at least 3 years in facility management consultancy or an FMMA lead role.
• Client Management: Proven experience managing VVIP clients.

Required Skills

• Technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, and soft services.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence and interaction with clients and service providers across various locations in Saudi Arabia.
