About the Role

Maaden is seeking a highly capable Senior Specialist Licensing & Tenement Management to join its dedicated team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to the effective management of exploration activities, requiring a professional who can lead and manage the strategic and operational aspects of exploration licensing and tenement management. The successful candidate will ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory frameworks and maintain strong alignment with Maaden's overarching corporate exploration objectives.

Role Purpose and Context

In this role, the Senior Specialist will act as a primary advisor on all matters related to licensing, providing expert guidance and insights. A key focus will be on driving continuous process improvements within the licensing function, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness. Furthermore, the role involves cultivating and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with both external regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders across various departments to ensure seamless operations and robust compliance for all exploration endeavors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end process for exploration license applications, including their submission, timely renewals, and comprehensive compliance reporting.
• Ensure strict adherence to all national and regional mining laws, environmental regulations, and established internal governance standards.
• Maintain and regularly update tenement databases, accurately tracking all associated obligations, expiry dates, and specific reporting requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with exploration, legal, and environmental teams to ensure that all licensing activities are fully aligned with broader operational plans and strategic goals.
• Act as the primary point of contact and official liaison with relevant government agencies and regulatory bodies concerning licensing and tenement matters.
• Lead internal audits related to tenement compliance and provide essential support for any external inspections.
• Develop and implement continuous process improvements, including the integration of digital solutions, to optimize licensing workflows.
• Mentor junior staff members and actively contribute to knowledge sharing initiatives and best practices within the licensing function.

Qualifications and Experience
