About the Role

Zegna is seeking a dedicated Stock Controller to manage inventory operations across multiple retail locations in the Makkah region, specifically covering stores in Jeddah and Makkah. This role is essential for maintaining stock integrity, optimizing storage and retrieval processes, and providing robust support to the sales team. The Stock Controller will be responsible for ensuring efficient and orderly stock management, minimizing bottlenecks and errors in the movement of goods.

Core Inventory Management

  • Oversee the entire process of stock transfer, including movements into warehouses, from warehouses to stores, and between stores, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded and updated to reduce discrepancies.
  • Manage all aspects of warehouse audits, stock counts, and the subsequent process of identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Provide timely and valuable updates regarding deliveries, current stock levels, pending orders, claims for damaged or short merchandise, and the overall replenishment process.
  • Ensure the proper adjustment of defective stock items in strict accordance with company policy.

Stock Control Operations and Reporting

  • Prepare the annual stock take calendar in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Store Manager, communicating the plan to all relevant parties and ensuring compliance by mobilizing necessary manpower and resources for the physical stock take.
  • Supervise the physical stock take process, monitoring strict adherence to established policies and procedures.
  • Review stock take results collaboratively with the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist and Finance Manager, reconciling figures by closely monitoring stock movements and transfers within the stores.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports based on findings, providing recommendations and suggestions to the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist, and implementing stock loss action plans formulated from retail store stock counts.

Logistics Coordination and Team Development

  • Oversee the process of goods shipments, coordinating effectively with EZ in Italy and the designated logistics company to ensure timely delivery to the stores.
  • Guide, train, appraise, and motivate staff, including subordinates where applicable, to enable them to realize their full potential and contribute effectively to stock operations.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this Stock Controller position will possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in stock control, inventory management, or a similar operational role. A strong understanding of inventory principles, logistics coordination, and team leadership is essential for success in this role.
