Role Overview

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager Civil & Track for a full-time position in Ḩā’il, Ha'il, Saudi Arabia. This role involves leading railway civil and track construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with client requirements, contractual obligations, and company objectives. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project execution, stakeholder management, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of railway civil and track construction projects.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Manage all civil works activities, including earthworks, structures, drainage, foundations, and railway infrastructure.
  • Oversee track installation activities, including ballast, sleepers, rails, and turnouts.
  • Ensure compliance with approved designs, specifications, and construction standards.
  • Coordinate construction interfaces between civil, track, signalling, telecommunications, and systems teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead project meetings and provide progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Resolve technical, commercial, and operational issues affecting project performance.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
  • Lead investigations of incidents and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure financial targets are achieved.
  • Manage variations, claims, and contractual correspondence.
  • Review subcontractor performance, certifications, and payment applications.
  • Ensure all works comply with approved quality plans and inspection requirements.
  • Monitor testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Ensure project documentation is maintained and handed over in accordance with client requirements.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and subcontractors.
  • Mentor engineers and site management personnel.
  • Drive team performance and promote continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

  • Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in project management, specifically within civil and track construction for railway projects.
