Role Overview

MAADEN is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist - Commercial and Project Execution to join its team in Ras Tannurah, Eastern KSA. This full-time role involves leading the commercial and project-development execution required to transform selected Joint Venture (JV) concepts into industrial opportunities. The specialist will integrate various inputs, including market analysis, supply chain, offtake agreements, operating models, and technical interfaces, to ensure that preferred options are robustly evaluated against the existing Carbon Plant base case.

Key Responsibilities

Develop the commercial case, encompassing demand forecasting, pricing strategies, product specifications, offtake agreements, supply security, and partner value propositions.
Coordinate technical and project inputs related to scope definition, interfaces, scheduling, utilities, land requirements, logistics, operating models, performance metrics, and implementation needs.
Collaborate with the Finance department to translate commercial and project assumptions into CAPEX, OPEX, IRR, NPV, sensitivity analyses, and downside scenarios.
Maintain a consistent comparison between JV options and the Carbon Plant base case, utilizing uniform assumptions and decision criteria.
Coordinate business and market components of due diligence, including partner capabilities, customer assessments, feedstock analysis, supply chain evaluation, and operational readiness.
Identify opportunities to streamline scope, sequence activities in parallel, and reduce delivery timelines while maintaining required assurance levels.
Define proposed offtake principles, service levels, quality requirements, performance guarantees, and commercial remedies.
Support the negotiation of commercial schedules and ensure that agreement terms align with the approved business case.
Prepare workstream outputs for SteerCo, Investment Committee, ExCom, and Board materials.
Support the transition from transaction development to execution, including managing assumption registers, open issues, benefit baselines, and handover requirements.
