Role Overview

Maaden is seeking a Senior Business Development Specialist - JV Transaction Execution to join the Business Development Department within Maaden Aluminum. This full-time position is based in Ras Tannurah, Eastern KSA, and focuses on the day-to-day execution of accelerated Joint Venture (JV) transactions. The role involves converting senior direction into coordinated actions, preparing decision materials, and ensuring disciplined follow-through with all internal and external parties.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the integrated action plan, transaction tracker, decision log, issue register, and deliverables calendar.
• Coordinate the preparation of commitment packages, Heads of Terms (HoT), Joint Development Agreements (JDA), due-diligence requests, data rooms, and partner workplans.
• Develop JV structure options and consolidate commercial, financial, legal, and technical inputs into a coherent transaction case.
• Support the preparation and review of CAPEX, OPEX, IRR, NPV, sensitivities, funding requirements, and value-creation comparisons against the base case.
• Coordinate internal approvals and prepare materials for SteerCo, Investment Committee, ExCom, and Board review.
• Draft negotiation briefs, meeting packs, minutes, action lists, and management updates.
• Follow up with workstream owners and external advisors to close actions and prevent schedule slippage.
• Review partner submissions for completeness, consistency, and alignment with agreed headline terms.
• Maintain traceability between diligence findings, risks, agreement provisions, economics, and approval conditions.
• Support negotiations and document agreed positions, open points, and escalation requirements.
• Review business development agreements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline. An MBA or relevant professional qualification is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, corporate development, transactions, project development, or investment.
• Practical experience in JV, M&A, strategic partnership, project finance, or major industrial project evaluation.
• Demonstrated experience in building business cases, financial models, governance submissions, and executive presentations.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary diligence and agreement workstreams.

Work Environment

This is a full-time role based in Ras Tannurah, Eastern KSA, with standard working hours of 8 hours per day.
