About the Service Technician Role

Vestas is seeking a Service Technician to join our team in Al Jawf, specifically in Sakaka. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency and customer satisfaction of our wind turbines. The role requires a strong commitment to quality and personal safety, as you will be on the front lines of our service agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on wind turbines.
• Conduct scheduled service and maintenance activities, including component checks, repairs, and replacements, in accordance with service agreements.
• Ensure frictionless operation of turbines by utilizing systems such as condition monitoring and remote control.
• Communicate with customers regarding completed and upcoming service and repair work.
• Manage the service vehicle, warehouse, and the ordering of materials, tools, and spare parts.
• Complete daily reporting in SAP.
• Adhere to the highest safety and environmental standards while meeting service targets.
• Assemble components and main parts according to current regulations or work instructions, utilizing internal or external cranes when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess experience or a degree in electricity, mechanics, or hydraulics.
• Demonstrate a willingness to develop skills within these technical areas.
• Have computer proficiency for regular reporting and communication through various systems.
• Experience in handling different tools or systems for work monitoring and documentation is beneficial.
• Hold a valid driving license.

Required Competencies

Successful candidates will be motivated by teamwork and communication, with a strong service-oriented mindset. You should be structured and independent in your work approach. Flexibility is important, as unplanned overtime may occur. An openness to travel is also required.

A significant understanding of and commitment to the highest standards of health and safety in the work environment is essential. The role requires the ability to climb wind turbines and perform physically demanding work at heights, often in various weather conditions. Good physical condition is necessary to handle heavy lifts and work at heights.

Language and Communication

Good knowledge of English is considered a plus for this role, aiding in communication and understanding technical documentation.
