The Assistant Head Nurse Role

Diaverum Saudi Arabia is seeking an Assistant Head Nurse for a full-time position in Jeddah and Makkah. This role is crucial for maintaining patient safety and upholding clinical standards within our growing network of dialysis clinics. The Assistant Head Nurse supports the Head Nurse in managing staff, ensuring quality of care, and overseeing safe and smooth clinic operations. This position reports to the Head Nurse and involves close collaboration with clinic staff, clinic mentors, and the Country Nursing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Head Nurse plays a leadership role in ensuring safe, effective, and high-quality clinic operations. Responsibilities include:

• Supporting staff selection, scheduling, and orientation for new employees.
• Counseling employees and advising the Head Nurse on appropriate actions.
• Supervising and evaluating patient care through rounds and quality assurance projects.
• Monitoring safety, cleanliness, and equipment standards within the clinic.
• Supporting audit action plans and Risk Management implementation.
• Identifying learning needs and supporting ongoing staff development.
• Contributing to staff management, patient care supervision, quality and patient safety initiatives, education, competency follow-up, and accreditation readiness.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of relevant nursing experience, demonstrating readiness to assume supervisory responsibilities and support clinical teams effectively.
