About the Opportunity

* Moller - Maersk is seeking a dedicated and experienced Business Development Manager, Project Logistics to join their team. This full-time role is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is critical for driving growth in the specialized cargo sector.

Role Purpose

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives for project logistics and special cargo. This involves building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring operational excellence and cost efficiency for complex projects within key industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with operations teams to assess project feasibility and optimize cost efficiency.
• Cultivate and expand vendor relationships to secure competitive costing and uphold operational excellence.
• Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies tailored for project logistics and special cargo.
• Establish and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities within the project logistics domain.
• Identify and actively pursue new client engagements in industries such as energy, infrastructure, heavy engineering, and Oil & gas.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant business development or project logistics role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing end-to-end project logistics for special cargo, including over-dimensional or heavy lift shipments, from initial procurement to final site installation.
• Proven expertise in the sale of break-bulk services, air freight charters, and tanker logistics solutions.
• Strong understanding and practical expertise in regulatory compliance and permitting processes for specialized shipments.

Advantageous Skills

• Experience with site mobilization/demobilization and commissioning logistics, encompassing staging areas, load-in/load-out sequencing, on-site storage, and reverse logistics for decommissioning.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires engagement across key cities including Jeddah, Makkah, Riyadh, and Dammam, reflecting the broad operational scope within the region.
