About the Captain-Bellstand Role

Marriott International is seeking a Captain-Bellstand for a full-time position in Makkah. This role involves providing comprehensive guest services, including assistance with luggage, transportation, and information about property amenities and local attractions. The Captain-Bellstand also supports management in departmental operations and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet guests, provide information on property amenities, services, hours of operation, and local areas of interest.
• Assist guests with entering and leaving the property, including opening doors and helping with luggage.
• Transport guest luggage to and from rooms or designated bell areas, and assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
• Help guests in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading luggage.
• Provide directions and arrange transportation (*, taxi, shuttle, limousine) for guests, recording advance requests as needed.
• Dispatch bell staff or valet staff and communicate parking procedures to guests.
• Follow up with guests to ensure satisfaction with requests or problem resolution.
• Serve as a departmental role model and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and maintain awareness of undesirable persons on premises.
• Ensure a clean and professional appearance, maintain confidentiality, and acknowledge all guests with genuine appreciation.
• Anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and communicate using clear, professional language.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Capacity to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Capable of moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects exceeding 75 pounds with assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience. The role requires adherence to all company policies and procedures, including reporting accidents and unsafe conditions. Professional communication skills, including appropriate telephone etiquette, are essential.
