About the Opportunity

EY is seeking a Tax GCR Director to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading complex engagements and driving the growth of the Global Compliance and Reporting (GCR) practice. The Role

As a Tax GCR Director, you will serve as a key leader within EY's GCR team, responsible for overseeing significant client engagements. This position requires combining strong technical tax skills with practical commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge to deliver high-quality tax services. The Director will manage client compliance and reporting needs effectively while fostering strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team in providing tax services, leveraging strong technical skills alongside commercial, legislative, and industry knowledge.
• Manage clients’ compliance and reporting requirements.
• Establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality client services.
• Oversee client engagements day-to-day, monitoring progress, deliverables, and implementing standardized processes.
• Anticipate and identify risks, escalate issues as appropriate, and drive performance-improvement solutions.
• Supervise high-performing teams, fostering a positive learning culture, and coaching junior team members for development.
• Ensure strict adherence to EY's Tax Quality guidelines.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience, typically 5-10 years, in a relevant tax or GCR role, preferably at a senior management or director level.
• Demonstrated strong technical tax skills.
• Practical knowledge of commercial, legislative, and industry practices.
• Experience in leading and supervising teams, with a focus on coaching and development.
• Ability to manage complex client engagements and drive practice growth.
