About Carrier and the Senior Sales Engineer MEP Role

Carrier, a global leader in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security, and cold chain solutions, is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer MEP for a full-time position in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to expanding Carrier's market presence in the Applied Business sector, focusing on increasing sales and market share by providing robust new business sales support to clients. The successful candidate will contribute to creating healthier environments and reducing environmental impact through industry-leading solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Achieve sales booking, invoicing, and margin targets.
• Generate new enquiries and acquire new customers.
• Review enquiries and guide the application team in preparing quotations and submittals.
• Oversee the review of quotations before submission to customers.
• Follow up on submittals and approvals.
• Maintain familiarity with industry trends and competitor activities.
• Develop and sustain strong relationships and contacts with end-users, consultants, and contractors to generate business.
• Negotiate contractual and commercial terms.
• Follow up with existing projects and coordinate with the Service department.
• Monitor product lead times and delivery to customers.
• Manage payment collection and follow up on Bank Guarantees (BGs).
• Input project data and prepare management reports.
• Communicate critical customer requirements back to development, production, and marketing processes.
• Review received contracts to ensure requirements are clearly defined and agreed upon, especially for verbal orders.
• Assess capability to meet contract requirements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain relevant records.
• Finalize contract changes, communicate details and amendments to relevant personnel, and maintain contract review records and approved dealer/contractor lists.
• Verify and control technical and commercial information in purchase orders upon factory acknowledgment, where applicable.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in sales engineering within the MEP sector. The ideal candidate will possess:

• Over 10 years of relevant experience in sales engineering, preferably within HVAC or related fields.
• Strong product knowledge of Chillers, Airside systems, and overall HVAC solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to generate new business and manage client relationships effectively.
• Proficiency in contract negotiation and financial follow-up.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
