Assistant Operations Manager

About the Role

Al-Qimam Factory is seeking an Assistant Operations Manager – Production & Projects to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role involves supporting the execution of BTL, retail display, luxury podium, counter, and exhibition projects. The position requires a professional who can bridge design understanding with operational execution, ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time.

Role Context and Purpose

The Assistant Operations Manager connects various departments including Design, Production, Purchasing, Quality Control, Logistics, and Installation. The primary purpose is to ensure that approved designs are accurately translated into finished products that meet quality standards and project timelines. This role requires a hands-on approach to monitoring and managing the production lifecycle from initial design approval through to final installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project briefs, drawings, dimensions, materials, and approved samples prior to production commencement.
• Coordinate daily production schedules and priorities with factory teams.
• Oversee projects from design approval through production, quality control, delivery, and installation.
• Monitor daily progress on the factory floor, identifying and addressing delays, bottlenecks, or technical issues promptly.
• Coordinate requirements and communication between Design, Production, Purchasing, Logistics, and Commercial teams.
• Ensure that production adheres to approved drawings, dimensions, materials, colors, finishes, and quality standards.
• Follow up on material availability and confirm production readiness.
• Maintain project trackers and provide clear progress and exception reports to management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, quality, workflow, and on-time delivery.
• Take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring proper follow-up until final completion.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in operations management, preferably within a production or project-focused environment.
• Demonstrated ability to understand design specifications and translate them into manufacturing processes.
• Proven capability to monitor production, identify potential problems early, and implement effective solutions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
