The Role of Resource Planning Associate

Deloitte is seeking a Resource Planning Experienced Associate for its Audit & Assurance practice in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to the strategic scheduling and deployment of Audit Professionals, with a primary objective of maximizing utilization levels and deployment effectiveness across diverse assignments. The Associate will report to local and regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the deployment of auditors to a diverse array of assignments throughout the year, focusing on maximizing utilization and deployment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Managers and Talent Group Leaders to address business requirements and resolve potential conflicts, ensuring alignment with established policies and frameworks.
  • Maintain and regularly update schedules on the dedicated resource planning tool to ensure accuracy.
  • Plan resources efficiently, taking into account engagement budgets, gearing, service excellence, and employee development.
  • Monitor and track resource utilization, identify utilization gaps, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with HR on resource onboarding and offboarding, identify manpower and recruitment needs, and address employee performance concerns.
  • Work with the Learning department to effectively implement learning requirements.
  • Generate and analyze various reports to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Communicate resourcing concerns to leadership to enable informed decision-making.
  • Actively manage expectations and escalate matters where necessary.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as deemed necessary.

Candidate Requirements and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 10 years of experience in resource planning, scheduling, or a similar operational role, preferably within a professional services environment. Candidates should demonstrate personal accountability for keeping performance on track and understand how their daily work contributes to the priorities of the team and the business. A proactive approach to understanding business needs and key resourcing priorities is essential.
