About the Role

Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah is seeking a General Mechanical Supervisor to join our team in Makkah. This full-time position is for a dedicated professional focused on maintaining operational excellence and ensuring high standards within our facilities. The role involves overseeing mechanical maintenance activities and contributing to a well-functioning environment for guests and staff.

Core Responsibilities

The General Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for a range of duties essential to the hotel's operations, including:

• Maintaining all kitchen and laundry equipment in optimal working condition.
• Preparing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for various systems.
• Ensuring the cleanliness of all kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Monitoring and maintaining the performance of pumps and motors.
• Strictly adhering to the preventive maintenance chart and maintaining accurate records for future reference.
• Fitting and assembling components, sub-assemblies, and complete equipment to specified precision and standards.

Technical Oversight and Coordination

This role requires strong technical acumen and effective collaboration skills. Key tasks include:

• Effectively interpreting engineering drawings and calculations, and promptly identifying any inconsistencies.
• Coordinating with counterparts in other departments to ensure satisfaction with service quality and progress, fostering productive inter-departmental relationships.

Team Development and Compliance

The supervisor will also contribute to team growth and uphold hotel standards:

• Creating on-the-job training opportunities for engineering employees to enhance their skills and promote multitasking.
• Maintaining awareness of hotel emergency procedures and knowing appropriate actions during emergencies.
• Abiding by hotel rules and serving as a professional example to colleagues.

Required Experience

Candidates for the General Mechanical Supervisor position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within a hospitality or similar environment. A proven track record of maintaining equipment, implementing preventive maintenance, and adhering to operational standards is essential.
