The Role of Health Safety Environment Engineer

As a Health Safety Environment Engineer, you will be instrumental in implementing and overseeing critical health, safety, and environmental protocols on-site. This full-time position requires a proactive approach to inspecting operations, actively working to minimize workplace hazards, and ensuring comprehensive compliance with all relevant Saudi labor laws and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe acts, or unsafe conditions, and enforce immediate corrective actions.
• Participate in the development of Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and Risk Assessments, and effectively manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system for high-risk activities.
• Deliver daily Toolbox Talks (TBT) and conduct comprehensive safety orientations and inductions for new workers and subcontractors.
• Report and thoroughly investigate workplace incidents or near-misses to identify root causes and implement effective preventive measures.
• Ensure that all site personnel strictly comply with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) standards and adhere to local health and safety regulations.

Required Experience

Candidates for this Health Safety Environment Engineer position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in health, safety, and environment roles, demonstrating a proven track record in implementing and managing HSE protocols.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will primarily be involved in on-site operations, ensuring the continuous application of safety standards.
