About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a full-time Manager, Food & Beverage II-B in Makkah. This role is responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service. The manager ensures guest and employee satisfaction, maintains operational standards, and works towards achieving financial goals. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for Food and Beverage departments.
• Maintain a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
• Oversee all culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations.
• Lead and manage the Food and Beverage teams, supervising daily operations and ensuring productivity.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage team members, advocating for sound financial and business decision-making.
• Foster an environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement, and a passion for service.
• Provide proactive coaching and counseling to team members and encourage mutual trust and cooperation.
• Set clear expectations for employees and team leaders, ensuring appropriate recognition for exceeding expectations.

Ensuring Exceptional Service

• Deliver excellent customer service and respond proactively to guest concerns.
• Understand and drive alignment of all employees and managers to the brand's service culture.
• Set service expectations for all guests, both internal and external.
• Take ownership of guest complaints until resolved or addressed by the appropriate personnel.
• Verify that all banquet functions meet standards and exceed guest expectations.
• Improve service by communicating guest needs and providing guidance, feedback, and coaching.
• Serve as a role model for appropriate behaviors and manage daily operations to ensure quality and standards are met.

Human Resources and Development

• Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.
• Conduct timely performance reviews.
• Promote both Guarantee of Fair Treatment and Open Door policies.
• Identify developmental needs and provide coaching, mentoring, or training to improve knowledge and skills.
• Develop action plans to address areas needing improvement and build on strengths based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction results.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in food and beverage operations.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
• Ability to develop and implement business plans for food and beverage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency in managing budgets and understanding financial objectives.

Additional Responsibilities

• Comply with all corporate accounting procedures.
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates through various communication channels.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to identify optimal solutions and resolve problems.
• Drive effective departmental communication and information systems through logs, department meetings, and property meetings.
