About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a full-time Revenue Manager in Makkah. This role is central to maximizing transient revenue by maintaining room inventory, recommending pricing, and overseeing selling strategies for the hotel(s). The position requires 0-1 year of relevant experience and involves ensuring clean booking windows for customers and releasing group rooms back into general inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Compile, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projected sales.
  • Identify underlying principles and facts by breaking down information or data.
  • Evaluate results to determine optimal solutions and resolve problems.
  • Utilize computer systems and software for programming, data entry, and information processing.
  • Generate and provide accurate, timely reports and presentations.
  • Conduct sales strategy analysis and refine approaches to increase market share for all properties.
  • Maintain accurate reservation system information.
  • Analyze period-end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods, and obstacles.
  • Generate regular updates on the transient segment.
  • Assist with account diagnostics processes and validate conclusions.
  • Inform executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
  • Attend staff, forecast, and long-range meetings as requested by properties.

Revenue Management Strategy and Execution

  • Update market knowledge and align strategies and approaches accordingly.
  • Achieve and exceed performance, budget, and team goals.
  • Attend meetings to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate, and manage activities and solutions.
  • Establish long-range objectives and specify strategies and actions to achieve them.
  • Drive the execution of predetermined strategies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Understand and meet the needs of key stakeholders, including owners, corporate, and guests.
  • Explore opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation.
  • Provide revenue management functional expertise to cluster general managers, leadership teams, and market sales leaders.
  • Ensure hotel strategies conform to brand philosophies and initiatives.
  • Ensure sales strategies and rate restrictions are communicated, implemented, and modified as market conditions fluctuate.
  • Prepare sales strategy meeting agendas and supporting documentation.
  • Communicate proactively with properties regarding rate restrictions and strategy.
  • Manage rooms inventory to maximize cluster rooms revenue.
  • Assist hotels with pricing and provide input on business evaluation recommendations.
  • Lead efforts to coordinate strategies between group sales offices.
  • Support cluster selling initiatives by collaborating with all reservation centers.
  • Utilize reservation systems and demand forecasting systems to determine, implement, and control selling strategies.
  • Check distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
  • Ensure property diagnostic processes (PDP) are used to maximize revenue and profits.
  • Initiate, implement, and evaluate revenue tests.
  • Provide recommendations to improve the effectiveness of revenue management processes.
  • Communicate brand initiatives, demand, and market analysis to hotels, clusters, franchise partners, and owners.
  • Understand and communicate the value of the brand name as it relates to franchise partnerships and revenue management opportunities.
  • Promote and protect brand equity.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

  • Develop and manage internal key stakeholder relationships proactively.
  • Act as a liaison, when necessary, between property and regional/corporate systems support.

Qualifications and Experience

This role requires 0-1 year of experience in revenue management or a related field. Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in computer systems, and effective communication skills to manage complex data and strategies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, within the Marriott International team.
