About the Role: Scientific Editor, Nuclear Medicine

Cactus Communications is seeking a Scientific Editor with specialized expertise in Nuclear Medicine. This contract position, located in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, requires a professional with a strong academic background and a keen eye for refining scientific writing. The role focuses on enhancing the clarity and quality of research manuscripts for global publication.

Role Purpose

As a Scientific Editor, you will apply your subject-matter expertise to evaluate and refine research manuscripts. This involves ensuring scientific accuracy and discipline-specific clarity, while also significantly enhancing the overall quality of the language. Your contributions will directly support researchers worldwide in successfully publishing their cutting-edge work in prestigious journals.

Key Responsibilities

Review and edit manuscripts to improve the clarity, coherence, and readability of scientific content, while preserving the authors’ intended meaning.
Ensure that subject-specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate, consistent, and appropriate for the target audience.
Improve the presentation of complex research findings to enhance their communication and publication readiness.
Edit manuscripts such that the final text meets the highest standards of academic writing and is free of unclear, illogical, or unidiomatic sentences.
Adhere to job-specific guidelines and format manuscripts according to the target journal when required.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a strong academic background and demonstrate an ability to engage with cutting-edge research. Essential requirements include a proven capability to improve scientific writing and deep subject-matter expertise in Nuclear Medicine. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required.
