About Match and the Role

Match is seeking a highly skilled Senior Demand Planner GCC to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for ensuring accurate demand predictions and their seamless alignment with our supply chain capabilities across the GCC region.

Role Purpose

The Senior Demand Planner will oversee the entire demand forecasting process, playing a pivotal role in driving inventory management, production planning, and procurement decisions. This involves comprehensive analysis of historical data, strategic collaboration with key stakeholders, and the effective use of advanced planning tools to generate actionable forecasts. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and working closely with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to achieve efficient supply and demand alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the demand forecasting process by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and external factors such as seasonality and promotions.
• Develop and maintain accurate demand plans utilizing specialized forecasting tools and software.
• Provide insights into future demand patterns and communicate potential risks or opportunities to key stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment on demand forecasts and adjustments through regular communication with regional and global teams.
• Monitor and adjust forecast accuracy via regular review cycles, collaborating with other departments to refine planning processes.
• Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to continuously improve forecast accuracy over time.
• Prepare and present detailed demand forecasts, key metrics, and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in demand planning processes by implementing advanced analytics, automation, and best practices, including Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) methodologies.
• Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy and inventory management.
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and create reports to provide actionable insights for decision-making.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the direct manager.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Senior Demand Planner role should possess a robust background in demand planning and supply chain management. The position requires:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in demand planning or a similar analytical role.
• Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and translate them into actionable forecasts.
• Experience in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and logistics.

Technical Skills and Tools

Proficiency with industry-standard demand planning tools and systems is essential for this role. Required technical capabilities include:

• Demonstrated expertise in forecasting tools and software, such as SAP, Excel, and dedicated demand planning systems.
• Strong data analytics skills to leverage performance metrics and continuously improve forecast accuracy.
• Familiarity with and experience in implementing Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) methodologies.
