The Role of Junior Pastry Sous Chef

As a Junior Pastry Sous Chef, you will support the Head Pastry Chef in managing the pastry section. This full-time role involves taking ownership of daily production, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the development of the junior team. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant pastry role and offers a salary of 7,000 SAR monthly.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute classic and contemporary pastry techniques with precision and attention to presentation.
• Participate in motivating and developing the pastry team, maintaining discipline during busy periods, and leading the section in the Head Pastry Chef's absence.
• Plan daily production, monitor shelf life, maintain strict FIFO and labeling standards, and execute freezing and defrosting procedures.
• Ensure all items meet strict standards for taste, texture, and visual appeal, while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workspace.
• Monitor stock levels, manage portion controls, and minimize waste to maintain quality while controlling food costs.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a pastry-related role.
• Demonstrated ability to execute pastry techniques with precision.
• Experience in managing daily production and maintaining quality standards.
• Capability to lead a section and mentor junior team members.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position located in Al Khobar, Eastern Province. The role offers a monthly salary of 7,000 SAR.
