About the Orthopedic Surgery Registrar Role
Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Surgery Registrar to join its medical team in Najran. This full-time position is designed for medical professionals with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses within the Orthopedic Surgery department.
Clinical Duties and Patient Care
The Registrar is primarily responsible for comprehensive patient care, from initial assessment to treatment and follow-up. This includes examining patients, accurately documenting medical histories, and developing individualized care plans. A key aspect of this role involves prescribing necessary medications and ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests to ensure precise diagnoses.
- Assess patients thoroughly and document all findings accurately.
- Design and execute comprehensive patient care plans.
- Educate patients on their health conditions, required investigations, treatment options, and proper medication use.
- Provide counseling on health promotion, hygiene, and disease prevention tailored to individual patient needs.
- Order and meticulously review results of patients’ investigations.
- Prescribe appropriate medications for patients.
- Fulfill all obligations related to maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
Operational Adherence and Professional Development
Beyond direct patient care, the Registrar is expected to uphold the highest standards of clinical practice and operational compliance. This involves strict adherence to internal policies, active participation in quality improvement initiatives, and continuous professional growth.
- Adhere to all Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) Policies and Procedures, Bylaws, Strategic Plan, Rules & Regulations.
- Comply with the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines of NCC.
- Actively participate in assigned NCC Committees and Task Forces.
- Adhere to CBAHI standards of care and participate in continuous quality improvement activities.
- Integrate population factors such as heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.
- Participate in the continuous professional development of junior staff.
- Develop, participate in, and support active Continuing Medical Education programs for the Section, Department, or Clinical area as assigned.
Specialized Practice and Interdepartmental Collaboration
The role also encompasses specialized tasks and requires effective collaboration across departments to ensure seamless patient care and operational efficiency. The Registrar will perform duties aligned with their specific clinical privileges and contribute to a cohesive healthcare environment.
- Perform specific privileges based on individual training, experience, skills, and in accordance with Saudi Health Council guidelines.
- Execute additional tasks as determined by specialty and clinical privileges.
- Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments within NCC, local agencies, vendors, patients, and their families.
- Complete all required fire safety training and adhere to safety protocols.
- Comply with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance.
