About the Role

Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) is seeking an Engineer, Inspection to join their team in Yanbu. This full-time role focuses on providing accurate and timely engineering solutions to meet refinery needs, addressing operational abnormalities, and offering essential engineering support in compliance with YASREF's strategic priorities, including profit, safety, reliability, and environmental requirements. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for plant asset maintenance throughout their lifecycle and offer technical support to OME teams during maintenance, shutdowns, or for resolving technical issues.
• Conduct evaluations and prepare design modifications approved by the change management system or project management team, including design packages for in-house modifications and MOCs, along with supporting calculations.
• Perform frequent plant visits to discuss operational issues with OME teams to resolve, upgrade, maintain, and improve equipment performance.
• Participate in troubleshooting meetings for equipment and system failures, and process abnormalities, discussing issues with technicians, engineers, and reliability engineers.
• Research equipment, processes, and systems to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues, and regularly evaluate work for improvement areas.
• Investigate equipment and system failures, identify root causes, and recommend preventative measures; participate in Root Cause Analysis and provide feedback.
• Update knowledge of industry best practices, document lessons learned, identify emerging technologies, and engage in professional development.
• Participate in Plant Acceptance Tests, validate modifications, assess and manage risks, evaluate potential system failures, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Contribute to the development and update of engineering standards, procedures, and objectives, ensuring solutions adhere to defined standards.
• Support Operation and Maintenance during planned and emergency shutdowns or disasters, providing technical assistance and resolving equipment-related emergencies.
• Contribute to the preparation of engineering designs, studies, documents, calculations, technical bulletins, work instructions, and guidelines.
• Conduct engineering studies, including standards review, to enhance plant integrity and reduce costs.
• Provide technical support for improving asset maintenance strategies, such as maintenance strategy planning and capital spare strategy, and contribute to updating preventive/predictive maintenance task lists.
• Evaluate engineering proposals to ensure compliance with YASREF standards and alignment with business priorities (HSE, reliability, profitability, and continuous improvement).
• Adhere to relevant safety and environmental policies as per YASREF Standards and participate in HSE activities.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the direct Supervisor.

Internal Communication

The Engineer, Inspection will report and refer to hierarchy on a regular basis. Responsibilities include implementing pertinent policies, exchanging information, discussing and understanding relevant KPIs/performance parameters, and providing services to other internal organizations.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in a relevant engineering field.
• Demonstrated ability to provide accurate and quick real-time engineering solutions.
• Experience in responding to operational abnormalities and providing engineering support.
• Strong understanding of refinery operations and asset lifecycle management.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, within the Yanbu Aramco Sinopec Refining Company (YASREF) refinery environment.
