Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Samaya Investment Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to oversee, coordinate, and manage all electrical works for a cultural project in Abha, 'Asir. This full-time role involves comprehensive oversight from design review through installation, testing, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Senior Electrical Engineer will manage all electrical aspects of the project, including power distribution, various lighting systems (architectural and museum lighting), low current systems, fire alarm systems, and integration with Building Management Systems (BMS). The role requires adherence to the Saudi Building Code (SBC), international standards, safety regulations, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical design drawings, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Ensure compliance with SBC, NFPA, IEC, and international museum standards.
• Prepare and review load schedules, Single Line Diagrams, and As-Built drawings.
• Provide technical support to resolve site issues and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
• Supervise installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, earthing, indoor and outdoor lighting, architectural and museum lighting.
• Oversee the selection, installation, testing, and commissioning of generators, transformers, and associated protection systems.
• Monitor cable routing (cable trays, conduits), electrical rooms, and manholes.
• Monitor compliance with specifications, quality, and safety requirements, conducting inspections and issuing snag lists.
• Oversee installation and integration of low current systems such as Fire Alarm Systems (Addressable), Public Address / Audio Systems, Lighting Control Panels (LCP), CCTV and Security Systems, and Master Clock Systems, including integration with BMS.
• Supervise testing and commissioning of electrical and ELV systems.
• Ensure delivery of As-Built drawings, O&M manuals, and training sessions.
• Support project close-out and handover to client representatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering roles, preferably within cultural or large-scale construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience in design review, installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of complex electrical systems.
• Familiarity with Saudi Building Code (SBC), NFPA, IEC, and international museum standards.
