Role Overview

The Accounting Specialist will manage various financial operations, including treasury, accounts payable, tax compliance, and financial reporting. This full-time position requires a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial systems to ensure accuracy and compliance across all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily cash flow, monitor bank balances, and prepare regular liquidity forecasts.
• Execute and oversee banking operations, including domestic and international wire transfers.
• Process and manage the Wage Protection System (WPS) payroll to ensure compliant and timely salary disbursements.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process, from invoice receipt to payment execution.
• Verify, code, and process vendor invoices in the ERP system.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigate variances, and resolve payment discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all AP transactions and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of statutory tax returns (*, VAT, corporate tax).
• Ensure all financial transactions comply with local tax regulations and internal policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation to support tax audits and assessments.
• Record and post journal entries in SAP accurately and on schedule.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to create financial models, variance analysis reports, and ad-hoc management reports.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes by providing accurate financial data.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on treasury, accounts payable, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems, including SAP, for financial transactions and reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and report generation.
• Familiarity with local tax regulations and compliance requirements in Saudi Arabia.

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubayl, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic engineering services environment.
