About the Opportunity

Tecnimont is seeking a qualified Construction HSE Manager to join its team for major projects. This is a contract position based in Al Jubail, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose and Reporting

The Construction HSE Manager is appointed for significant projects, including those involving consortiums or ATI structures. This role is critical for ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the construction phases and reports directly to the Site Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and monitor the implementation of the Tecnimont HSE Policy and HSE management system on site.
  • Perform job hazardous analysis (JHA) and participate in job safety analysis (JSA).
  • Verify the adequacy and application of the site HSE plan and all related procedures, preparing revisions as needed.
  • Update HSE documentation throughout all construction phases when necessary.
  • Check that subcontractors perform activities in accordance with applicable HSE procedures, regulations, and standards, promoting necessary actions to ensure observance.
  • Organize, plan, and participate in periodical HSE walk-arounds, inspections, and audits on site. Prepare relevant reports, action plans, and verify follow-up and timely execution of corrective actions.
  • Organize and coordinate HSE training activities on site.
  • Organize and participate in all relevant site HSE meetings.
  • Cooperate with the client concerning the issuing of necessary work permits.
  • Organize full investigations of work accidents, aimed at identifying corrective measures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Maintain accident records, identifying areas requiring prevention efforts.
  • Promote indoctrination and training of personnel.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the site HSE committee, comprising all contractor and subcontractor HSE Representatives.
  • Lead and coordinate the site emergency response team and fire prevention/fighting team, organizing training and emergency drill mock activities.
  • Prepare the HSE section of the construction monthly progress report and other periodical reports.
  • Prepare and update site HSE statistics, verify performance against project and corporate HSE objectives, targets, and performance indicators.
  • Propose recovery plans in case of performance discrepancies.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Construction HSE management, preferably within major project environments.

Location and Compensation

This contract role is based in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. An excellent salary package with benefits will be provided to the successful candidate.
