Role Overview: Instrument Technician II

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a full-time Instrument Technician II to join its team in Al Jubail. This role is central to ensuring the reliability and availability of instrument assets, which is critical for maintaining the operational continuity of process units. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and coordinate maintenance technician teams, ensuring compliance with preventive maintenance plans and efficient breakdown maintenance on Instrument systems, equipment, and facilities within the designated area.
• Execute monthly and weekly maintenance plans, and control and submit regular progress reports.
• Provide onsite maintenance and repairs for various Instruments, including generators, transformers, and motors.
• Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to established standards, specifications, safety procedures, manufacturer’s recommendations, and contract terms.
• Act as the focal point for the daily Instrument maintenance execution plan.
• Conduct frequent site visits to oversee work execution and monitor technician activities during routine maintenance.
• Follow up on Instrument maintenance work progress and submit regular progress reports with recommendations to the Instrument foreman.
• Maintain records of daily maintenance works against planned programs and prepare work completion reports as applicable.
• Assist in implementing engineering modifications and enhancements to Instrument equipment by providing recommendations to improve the suitability and serviceability of Instrument systems.

Candidate Requirements

Candidates for the Instrument Technician II position should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience and demonstrate the following:

• Proactive safety aptitude and behavior.
• Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Instrument systems.
• Good knowledge of Instrument equipment design, installation, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of maintaining and repairing Mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems.
• Strong knowledge of standards, procedures, and regulations related to Health, Safety, and Environmental preservation.
• Strong communication and people skills.
