Mechanical Technician

About the Role

ENGIE Saudi Arabia is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team in Al Jubail. This full-time position involves working within a multicultural team of Maintenance Technicians, applying specialized mechanical expertise to ensure the reliability and availability of plant mechanical equipment. The role requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform fault investigations, defect maintenance, and preventative maintenance on a range of plant equipment.
• Execute modifications on plant equipment as required.
• Maintain plant mechanical equipment according to Work Instructions in the Maintenance Management System and OEM guidelines, under the direction of the Mechanical Engineer.
• Assist the Mechanical Engineer in ensuring all mechanical equipment is well-maintained and all planned and unplanned work notifications are completed on time.
• Complete all Work Orders generated in CMMS as directed by the Mechanical Engineer.
• Support 24-hour operations by being available for call-out at short notice.
• Record and report all rectification jobs undertaken to the Mechanical Foreman/Engineer.
• Discuss planned and unplanned jobs with the Mechanical Foreman/Mechanical Engineer.

Safety and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IMS and maintain a safe working environment for self, colleagues, and contractors.
• Verify that a Permit to Work is obtained for each job as per safety rules and procedures.
• Adhere to all Method Statements, Work Instructions, and Procedures.
• Ensure appropriate tools are available and used safely for all plant jobs.
• Report any unsafe conditions to the Mechanical Engineer or Shift Team Leader.

Equipment Management and Troubleshooting

• Ensure maintenance of all mechanical equipment aligns with OEM Manuals and best practices.
• Work to reduce equipment downtime and ensure high plant availability.
• Ensure appropriate tools and equipment are available at work sites and used correctly.
• Verify that tools are in safe and good working order before use.
• Report loss or damage of tools to the Mechanical Engineer.
• Inform the Mechanical Engineer of any tool requirements.

Performance Accountabilities

• Consistent application of RGPC HSE Procedures.
• Minimization of safety incidents and near misses.
• Adherence to EHS compliance standards.
• Timely completion of work and reports/record sheets.
• Maintenance of high-quality work standards.
• Efficiency in work execution.
• Accuracy of planning and quality of records and reports.
• Condition and availability of tools.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess 0-1 years of experience in a relevant mechanical technician role. The ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment is essential.
