About SATORP and the Role

Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) is seeking a Senior Maintenance Engineer to join its team in Al Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for leading maintenance engineering activities within the company's Polymer plants, specifically focusing on Butadiene and C4 units.

Role Purpose and Scope

The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing equipment reliability, optimizing maintenance strategies, and providing essential support for plant turnaround activities. This role ensures the safe and efficient operation of critical assets within MTBE, Butadiene, Raffinate, and associated C4 processing facilities. It requires strong technical expertise in petrochemical processes, rotating and static equipment, reliability engineering, and maintenance planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs for Polymer plants assets.
• Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives to increase plant availability and reduce unplanned shutdowns.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting failures involving rotating equipment, heat exchangers, columns, reactors, pumps, compressors, and associated systems.
• Lead root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement corrective actions.
• Support turnaround, shutdown, and major maintenance activities from planning through execution and commissioning.
• Review maintenance Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Inspection, Process Engineering, and Reliability teams to improve asset performance.
• Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Review engineering modifications and Management of Change (MOC) activities related to plant equipment.
• Support contractor management and ensure quality execution of maintenance work.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in maintenance engineering within petrochemical or similar heavy industrial environments.

Essential Experience and Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with MTBE, Butadiene, C4 Extraction, Aromatics, Olefins, or similar petrochemical units.
• Experience working with SAP PM or equivalent Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Familiarity with API, ASME, ISO, and international maintenance standards.
