About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Specialist Strategic Raw Material II to join its team in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is integral to supporting metal procurement activities, with a primary focus on aluminum products and scrap. The role contributes to achieving cost-effective sourcing, ensuring timely material availability, managing supplier performance, and upholding procurement policies, while also supporting scrap recycling and local content initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day procurement activities for aluminum products, including UBC scrap and class scrap.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, contracts, and pricing agreements, utilizing LME benchmarks.
• Monitor supplier performance to ensure timely delivery of materials and adherence to agreements.
• Identify and onboard approved suppliers, ensuring alignment with company compliance and ERP systems.
• Ensure strict adherence to company procurement policies and the established authority matrix.

Market Analysis and Sourcing Strategy

• Maintain awareness of aluminum scrap market trends to support competitive sourcing decisions.
• Track market updates and report on pricing trends, supply-demand balance, and recycling flows.
• Assist in developing and implementing sourcing plans for metal procurement.
• Apply cost analysis tools to inform and support procurement decisions.
• Assist in risk assessment related to scrap quality, availability, and logistics.

Contribution to Sustainability

The Specialist will support initiatives aimed at increasing scrap recycling and enhancing local content engagement within procurement operations. This involves contributing to efforts that align with Maaden's broader sustainability and local economic development goals.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, with a focus on raw materials or metals.
