About the Role: Area Lead – Mine Facilities

Wood is seeking a dedicated Area Lead – Mine Facilities to join its Projects business. This full-time role is integral to the development of a new gold mining and processing facility, focusing on the construction and pre-commissioning phases. The position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in relevant fields.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead the construction efforts for mine facilities and their supporting infrastructure.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical & instrumentation (E&I) works across all project phases.
• Manage contractors effectively, ensuring strict compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards, project schedules, and quality requirements.
• Oversee the overall project execution to facilitate a smooth handover of completed assets to the Operations team.
• Specific facilities under scope include workshops, warehouses, offices, fuel systems, roads, drainage, and general site infrastructure.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role must possess over 10 years of experience in a relevant capacity, demonstrating a strong background in leading construction projects, particularly within industrial or mining environments. The ability to manage complex multi-disciplinary works and ensure project delivery is essential.

Work Location and Schedule

Initially, the position may be office-based in one of Wood's offices in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail. Following this initial phase, the role will transition to a site-based assignment within Saudi Arabia, operating on an 8/2 rotation schedule.
