About the Role

TAQA (Industrialization & Energy Services Company) is seeking a Compliance Testing & Investigations Manager to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and plays a crucial role in upholding the company's ethical standards and compliance framework.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Compliance Testing & Investigations Manager is responsible for independently conducting whistleblower investigations and compliance testing activities across TAQA. This role ensures objectivity, neutrality, and thoroughness in identifying non-compliance and assessing control effectiveness. Working under the direction of the Group Compliance Director, the position contributes to strengthening TAQA’s ethical culture, enhancing compliance controls, and promoting transparency and accountability.

Key Accountabilities

  • Corporate Whistleblower Investigations: Conduct investigations into reported incidents of misconduct or non-compliance received through official and unofficial channels. Develop investigation plans, maintain confidentiality and neutrality, conduct investigative interviews, and analyze records to identify and preserve evidence. Prepare fact-based investigation reports with conclusions and recommendations, and escalate high-risk cases. Maintain an audit trail and provide updates to the Group Ethics Panel.
  • Compliance Testing: Execute compliance testing procedures according to approved plans and scopes. Conduct walkthroughs, sample testing, and control validations to assess adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Identify and document findings, recommend mitigation actions, and track the implementation of corrective actions. Maintain organized testing workpapers.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination & Support: Coordinate with Legal, GRC, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate resolution of findings. Support other compliance and GRC-related activities as directed. Familiarity with case management tools (*, NAVEX) and compliance testing documentation standards is advantageous.
  • Process Control and Operational Excellence: Support the modification, automation, and implementation of process controls for standardization and effectiveness. Follow departmental policies and procedures for controlled and consistent work execution. Contribute to cost-efficient resource utilization and adhere to the Management of Change process. Ensure adherence to the quality management system and recommend process improvements based on market trends.
  • Continuous Improvement and Change Management: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to change initiatives that reflect international best practices. Manage self and motivate subordinates during periods of change.
  • Leadership and People Management: Organize and supervise the activities of direct reports, provide on-the-job training and constructive feedback, and manage staff performance, recruitment, and development to ensure high levels of engagement and competence.
