Cyber Security Consultant

About the Role

Artificial Intelligence Global Company is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant to join their team in Al Khobar, Eastern Region. This full-time role focuses on designing and preparing proposals that meet cybersecurity requirements and standards for clients in both Public and Industrial sectors. A significant portion of the work will involve Operational Technology (OT) Security Implementation for industrial clients, particularly within the Oil/Gas, Energy, and Utilities sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and prepare proposals that address cybersecurity requirements and standards for clients.
• Lead the design of overall architecture and implementation of secure OT network architectures, ensuring segmentation between IT and OT networks.
• Prepare system architecture, logical architecture, Bill of Material (BOM) with the latest hardware and software, Functional Design Specification, Detail Design Specification, Factory Acceptance Test Procedure, Site Acceptance Test Procedure, and Method Statement for Integration and Modification.
• Implement and manage strict access controls for DCS environments, including user authentication, role-based access, and secure remote access methodologies.
• Conduct and oversee regular risk assessments of the OT environment, identifying vulnerabilities and potential threats.
• Ensure adequate segmentation of the DCS from other networks to minimize intrusion risks.
• Work closely with customer OT cybersecurity teams to maintain consistent security practices across IT and OT landscapes.
• Recommend security enhancements and purchases to strengthen OT environment defenses for clients.
• Provide training and guidance to OT engineers on security best practices.
• Manage patch management processes.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on Operational Technology (OT) security.
• Proficiency in project management practices and methodologies.
• Ability to prepare compliance lists for deviations from standard practices.
• Proven track record of implementing OT IDS/IPS controls and rugged OT Firewalls from vendors such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, Dragos, and Nozomi.
• Configuration knowledge of L2 and L3 Switches, hardening of switches, and troubleshooting multiple security solutions.
• Deep knowledge of Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Experience in designing and implementing network layer concepts, network switch configuration, and component positioning based on functionality.
• Familiarity with Routing Switch and Windows Security Update System (WSUS).
• Experience with configuring What's Up Gold, creating architecture diagrams, and NMS system installation to commissioning.
• Proficiency in creating dashboards and managing antivirus solutions, including McAfee AV Epo Whitelisting.
• Experience with desktop hardening systems, antivirus protection, whitelisting, denial of new executable installations, integrity control, change control, application control, and data loss prevention.
• Hands-on experience in designing VM HA clusters and VM architecture.
• Ability to create and maintain policies and design backup systems.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Work Environment and Travel

This role is based in the Eastern Region, specifically Al Khobar. The consultant will interact with both internal and external customers. Travel is required for this position.
