About the Role

Wisayah Investment Company is seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time role is designed for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are ready to contribute to embedding advanced analytics and AI-enabled capabilities into daily investment and operational workflows. The position combines business-facing enablement with hands-on solution development, working across various teams to enhance data utilization, decision-making processes, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities

The Data Scientist will be responsible for a range of tasks focused on driving digital transformation and efficiency within the firm. This includes identifying opportunities for automation and AI, developing practical solutions, and ensuring robust data foundations.

  • Partner with front, middle, and back office teams to identify areas where automation and AI can improve real workflows.
  • Guide business teams in designing and adopting enhanced workflows, providing hands-on support, frameworks, and review.
  • Structure business problems into clearly defined use cases, including requirements, prioritization, and expected impact.
  • Maintain and track a centralized pipeline of initiatives, monitoring progress, adoption, and outcomes such as efficiency gains and quality improvements.
  • Design and build practical solutions to enhance workflows, including automation, data-driven tools, and intelligent assistants.
  • Develop and deploy AI-supported applications, such as agents and document/query solutions, ensuring appropriate controls and reliability.
  • Support the implementation of retrieval and knowledge-access solutions to improve the usability of internal data and content.
  • Integrate solutions with internal systems and support end-to-end automation of recurring processes.

Data Landscape and Foundations

A fundamental aspect of this role involves developing a comprehensive understanding of the firm's data infrastructure and ensuring its integrity and accessibility for analytical purposes.

  • Build a deep understanding of the firm’s data architecture, encompassing internal systems, vendor platforms, and document repositories.
  • Map key data sources and flows to ensure that solutions are appropriately grounded in available data.
  • Identify and assist in addressing gaps in data accessibility, quality, and structure that may impact analytics and automation use cases.

Stakeholder Engagement and Delivery

The Data Scientist will serve as a crucial link between business needs and technical execution, ensuring effective project delivery and collaboration.

  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical or external partners.
  • Support delivery and implementation efforts through hands-on involvement, review, and coordination.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and onboarding of new tools and platforms, including initial assessment of data handling considerations.

Continuous Development and Innovation

This role encourages continuous learning and growth, contributing to the evolution of the firm's capabilities in data science and AI.

  • Stay up to date with developments in investment management, data, and applied AI.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess a foundational skill set and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with 0-1 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven ability to deliver practical solutions, such as automation, reporting tools, or intelligent workflows, that are adopted by end users.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • High ownership mindset, with comfort operating in evolving and ambiguous environments.
