The Role of Senior Telecommunication Designer

Wood is seeking an ED IV/Senior Telecommunication Designer to join its Telecom & Security team in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience in the field. The role involves developing telecommunication drawings and ensuring compliance with industry standards and company quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop Telecommunication drawings, including Outside Plant and Inside Plant designs.
• Ensure familiarity with Saudi Aramco drafting standards, specifications, and codes of practice.
• Adhere to company quality control assurance requirements applicable to the drafting function.
• Create base design drawings from agreed work scope with minimal input from engineering personnel.
• Provide drafting checking functions as directed by the Engineer.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with engineering personnel.
• Contribute to group and discipline objectives relevant to the drafting function.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in telecommunication design.
• Proficiency in developing detailed telecommunication drawings.
• Strong understanding of relevant drafting standards, particularly Saudi Aramco specifications.
• Ability to work independently on design tasks with clear direction.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with engineering teams.
