The Matchday Officer Role

Al-Qadsiah Saudi Club is seeking a Matchday Officer to ensure the effective planning, coordination, and execution of all matchday operations. This full-time position, based in Al Khobar, Eastern, Saudi Arabia, is crucial for providing a safe, organized, and positive experience for all stakeholders, including players, officials, staff, media, and supporters, in adherence to league regulations and club standards. The role is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, with previous experience in relevant fields considered an advantage.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee all operational activities on matchdays, including stadium readiness, access control, and crowd flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with league, federation, and safety regulations before and during fixtures.
  • Conduct pre-match inspections of the stadium, pitch surroundings, dressing rooms, media areas, and spectator zones.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between club departments, security teams, medical staff, stewards, and external service providers.
  • Liaise with referees, match commissioners, visiting teams, and league officials.
  • Support media and broadcast operations in coordination with the club’s media team.
  • Assist in the implementation of the matchday safety and security plan.
  • Support the management of emergency procedures and incident reporting when required.
  • Monitor spectator behavior and operational risks during matches.
  • Aid in the briefing and deployment of matchday staff and volunteers.
  • Verify that all personnel understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Contribute to post-match reporting, including incidents, attendance, and operational feedback.
  • Participate in debrief meetings to identify improvements for future fixtures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in matchday operations, stadium management, or large-scale events is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of football competition regulations and matchday protocols.
