About Wood and the Opportunity

As a key part of Sidara's Energy & Materials pillar, Wood supports clients throughout the full asset lifecycle, focusing on delivering safe, predictable outcomes, enabling resilient operations, and fostering a lower carbon future. We are seeking a Senior Planner/Scheduler (PMC) to join our team on a full-time basis, based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, with assignments across various remote project sites.

Role Purpose

The Senior Planner/Scheduler plays a critical role in developing, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules for Wood's projects. This position ensures that project timelines, resources, and progress are accurately tracked, reported, and managed in compliance with company and client standards, contributing to the successful delivery of complex projects within the energy and materials sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project schedules that clearly indicate specific milestones agreed upon in the contract.
  • Create and deliver resource-loaded, robust baseline project schedules.
  • Produce all project plans and associated documents, including "S" curves, Histograms, and tabulated man-hour/progress data.
  • Prepare required weekly and monthly progress reports for the project.
  • Provide comprehensive analysis of progress and schedule performance, including productivity and critical path.
  • Supply the Project Team with relevant planning and reporting information.
  • Ensure all services and deliverables conform to Company, Client, and Project QA Plan, policies, requirements, and standards.
  • Periodically update schedules to incorporate scope changes, latest progress, and delivery information.
  • Assist with the development of change notifications by highlighting schedule impacts and supporting related tracking and re-baselining efforts.
  • Obtain deliverables and drawing lists and updates from disciplines, then distribute compiled reports.
  • Ensure the project team is consistently aware of project targets.
  • Provide forecasts for recovery to the plan when required.
  • Promote strong working relationships within Project Controls Teams, other project departments, and client representatives.
  • Ensure all planning work adheres to Corporate and Project-specific procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Degree in Engineering is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant scheduling experience.
  • Experienced user of Primavera P6.
  • Practical applied experience in planning and scheduling.
  • Knowledge of ARAMCO standards and procedures.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, and involves working across various remote project sites within the Kingdom. The role requires a proactive approach to project planning and scheduling within a dynamic and collaborative environment, ensuring project success through meticulous control and reporting.
