The Senior Project Engineer Role

Flowserve is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join its team in Al Khobar, Eastern region. This full-time position is responsible for managing the complete project lifecycle, from contract award to successful completion. The Senior Project Engineer acts as the primary customer contact, ensuring that orders are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, while also ensuring compliance with technical specifications and contractual terms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with Flowserve standards and practices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing clear, professional, and timely communication on project progress, risks, and milestones.
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks by developing contingency plans to minimize impacts on timelines and costs, and manage and negotiate change orders.
• Oversee project financials, including managing spending, cash flow, and costs, and report on progress in line with financial guidelines.
• Coordinate internal and external teams, including functional leads, engineers, manufacturing, and suppliers, to meet project requirements and objectives.
• Ensure projects adhere to industry codes, standards, and company processes, including ISO 9001 procedures.
• Maintain meticulous project records and prepare necessary documentation for customers and internal teams, such as bills of material, schedules, and progress reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a strong background in project management within an industrial or manufacturing context. The position requires a proven ability to manage complex projects from contract award to completion, ensuring adherence to strict timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in project engineering or project management.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets effectively.
• Experience in risk assessment, mitigation, and change management processes.
• Strong understanding of industry codes, quality standards (*, ISO 9001), and company processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams and engaging directly with customers.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Al Khobar, Eastern region. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams, including engineering and manufacturing, as well as external stakeholders and suppliers.
