This full-time Senior Telecom Engineer role is based in Al Khobar, Eastern Region, and is crucial for leading telecommunications and ICT design activities within the company's projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead telecommunications and ICT design activities for assigned projects, providing technical direction and guidance to project teams.
• Coordinate and supervise telecom engineers, ELV engineers, and designers, ensuring consistent engineering standards are applied.
• Plan discipline activities, monitor design progress, and coordinate workload and resource requirements with management.
• Lead design activities for various systems including telecommunications infrastructure (OSP, ISP, fiber-optic, copper networks, duct-bank systems), structured cabling and data systems (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi), ICT systems (network architecture, IP-based communications), and security and surveillance systems (CCTV, ACS, intrusion detection).
• Oversee design for other low-current/ELV systems such as Public Address, IPTV, Master Clock, and Audio-visual systems, coordinating with relevant disciplines for life-safety systems.
• Lead the development of infrastructure telecom networks, including master planning, external fiber-optic networks, duct-bank routing, and network topology, ensuring maintainability, resilience, and compliance with Saudi telecom service-provider requirements.
• Lead the preparation and review of design documentation, including Design Basis Reports, ICT design criteria, network architecture diagrams, system specifications, Bills of Quantities, and tender documentation.
• Ensure appropriate development and review of engineering calculations and studies, such as fiber-loss budgets, network bandwidth assessments, rack capacity calculations, and CCTV coverage studies.
• Ensure telecom and ICT designs comply with applicable Saudi regulatory requirements, including CST regulations, Saudi Building Code, and service-provider requirements (STC, Mobily, Zain), as well as international standards (TIA, BICSI, ISO/IEC, IEEE).
• Coordinate telecom requirements with CST and relevant service providers, supporting technical submissions and monitoring approvals.
• Coordinate telecommunications and ELV systems with all multidisciplinary teams, paying special attention to telecom room locations, power requirements, cable containment, and security.
• Coordinate telecom models within the multidisciplinary BIM environment, participating in clash-detection workshops and resolving spatial coordination issues.
• Perform technical checks and discipline reviews, ensuring designs follow approved project standards and maintaining compliance with Assystem's Quality Management System.
• Participate in client technical meetings, presenting design concepts, responding to comments, and providing technical recommendations.
• Provide tender and construction support, including responding to queries, assisting with technical bid evaluation, reviewing contractor submissions, and supporting testing and commissioning.
• Evaluate alternative technologies and design solutions, promoting scalable and future-ready telecom infrastructure, and supporting smart-building and digital-infrastructure strategies.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in telecommunications engineering.
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications engineering, ICT, and ELV design capabilities.
• Proficiency in both building and infrastructure telecom systems.
