About the Role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating to join its engineering team. This full-time position is based in Al Khafji, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia, and will focus on a major Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project. The role requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically with rotating equipment.

Role Context

The Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating will lead engineering activities for rotating equipment across various project phases. Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and prior experience in major brownfield FEED/EPC projects will be considered an advantage for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Lead rotating equipment engineering activities for FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases of oil & gas projects.
Develop data sheets, specifications, and requisitions for rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, blowers, and packaged systems.
Review vendor offers, perform technical bid evaluations, and participate in vendor meetings and design reviews.
Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant international standards.
Coordinate with process, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines for equipment integration.
Review vendor documents (GA drawings, datasheets, performance curves, etc.) and ensure timely approval.
Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and design review workshops.
Mentor junior engineers and review their deliverables for quality and accuracy.
Support client and internal audits and ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on rotating equipment.
Experience in FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases of oil & gas projects.
Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is an advantage.
Experience in major brownfield FEED/EPC projects is an advantage.
