Rotating Equipment Inspector

About the Role

Applus+ is seeking a qualified Rotating Equipment Inspector for a contract position in Dammam, Eastern Region. This role involves inspecting, monitoring, and ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of rotating equipment within oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical, and pipeline projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong inspection expertise, a solid understanding of international standards, and practical experience with rotating machinery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, generators, and motors, during installation, maintenance, and commissioning phases.
• Verify compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable international codes.
• Perform and review inspections utilizing NDT methods such as MT, PT, UT, VT, and RTFI.
• Review engineering drawings, inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.
• Monitor equipment alignment, installation, testing, and operational readiness.
• Identify non-conformities, recommend corrective actions, and prepare comprehensive inspection reports.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Management Systems (QMS), safety procedures, and client requirements.
• Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure the timely completion of all inspection activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) with a minimum of 4 years of inspection experience; OR a Two-year Industrial/Technical Diploma with a minimum of 8 years of relevant inspection experience in the Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or Pipeline industry.
• Proven experience in the inspection, design, and operation of rotating equipment.
• Good knowledge of NDT methods (MT, PT, UT, VT, and RTFI).
• Familiarity with international standards, particularly API 686.
• Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and inspection procedures.

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid Saudi Driving Licence is mandatory.
• Local transfer candidates are preferred for this position.
