About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Dammam. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment within the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of dishes, including special meals and substitute items, adhering to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Manage and regulate the temperature of cooking equipment such as ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  • Ensure proper food thawing procedures are followed by pulling items from freezer storage to the refrigerator.
  • Oversee food presentation, including portion control, arrangement, and garnishing.
  • Maintain accurate food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food items.
  • Communicate any assistance needed during busy service periods to the kitchen team.
  • Inform the Head Chef of excess food items that can be utilized in daily specials.
  • Communicate menu specials and any out-of-stock items to the Food & Beverage service staff.
  • Prepare cold food preparations as required.

Team Support and Operations

This role involves assisting management with various team functions, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation. You will serve as a role model, demonstrating professional conduct and adherence to company policies. This includes reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, ensuring confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets are also key aspects of the role.

Guest Experience and Professional Conduct

Anticipating and addressing guest service needs is essential. You will communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests, fostering positive working relationships. Supporting team goals and responding appropriately to employee concerns are integral to the role. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards is paramount in all tasks performed.

Physical Requirements

The position requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. This includes reaching overhead and below the knees, and performing movements such as bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Candidates must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 25 pounds or less without assistance. Other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors may also be assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar culinary role. A strong understanding of food preparation techniques, safety standards, and presentation is required.
