About the Data Analyst Role at WISKOTS
WISKOTS is seeking a Data Analyst to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position is responsible for collecting, organizing, validating, analyzing, and presenting operational and business data to support informed decision-making across the company. The role involves transforming data from various business functions into accurate, meaningful, and actionable insights, supporting management and departments in performance monitoring, trend identification, operational efficiency evaluation, and reporting enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
The Data Analyst will be instrumental in managing the data lifecycle within WISKOTS. Key responsibilities include:
- Collecting and consolidating data from diverse business systems, spreadsheets, reports, databases, and departmental records into structured and reliable datasets.
- Reviewing data for completeness, consistency, accuracy, and validity, and coordinating corrections for missing, duplicated, or inaccurate information.
- Developing and maintaining standardized data-entry templates, reporting formats, clear data definitions, classifications, naming conventions, and reporting rules.
- Supporting the development of controlled master-data records for key entities such as customers, suppliers, employees, projects, equipment, inventory, and services, while ensuring proper handling of confidential information.
- Analyzing operational, financial, commercial, human-resource, inventory, procurement, and project data to identify trends, correlations, patterns, variances, exceptions, and performance gaps.
- Performing root-cause analysis for significant deviations and developing analytical models to support planning and decision-making.
- Preparing periodic management reports, dashboards, charts, summaries, and analytical presentations, including key performance indicator dashboards for various management levels.
- Automating recurring reports where practical and providing concise analytical commentary explaining changes and their potential business impact.
- Extracting, consolidating, and analyzing data from Zoho applications and other company systems, and assisting departments in improving data quality within Zoho.
Data Analysis and Reporting
This role requires a strong analytical capability to interpret complex data. The Data Analyst will compare actual performance against targets, budgets, schedules, forecasts, and historical results. They will conduct productivity, utilization, cost, revenue, profitability, and efficiency analyses, with a specific focus on project performance, including manpower deployment, equipment use, working hours, progress, delays, and cost impacts. Support for forecasting and scenario analysis based on available business data is also expected. A clear distinction between confirmed information, assumptions, estimates, and analytical conclusions must be maintained.
Zoho and System Support
A significant aspect of the role involves working with Zoho applications. The Data Analyst will support reporting and dashboard development using Zoho's capabilities, review workflows and structures from a data-analysis perspective, and coordinate with system administrators for any required technical configurations. Data migration, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation activities will also be part of the responsibilities, ensuring that reports are accurate, timely, traceable, and suitable for management decision-making.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. A minimum of five years of relevant professional experience is required, with total professional experience not exceeding seven years. At least five years of direct experience in data analysis, business analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or performance analysis is essential. Experience working with operational, commercial, financial, project, or management data, and demonstrated experience developing dashboards, reports, performance indicators, and management summaries are necessary. Experience consolidating and validating information from multiple data sources is also required.
Preferred Skills and Background
Professional certification or formal training in data analysis, business intelligence, database management, or visualization is preferred. Training or certification in Microsoft Power BI, SQL, advanced Excel, Python, or Zoho Analytics will be considered an advantage. Experience working in contracting, industrial services, oil and gas, engineering, maintenance, inspection, or project-based organizations is preferred. Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia and specific experience using Zoho applications, particularly Zoho Analytics, are also advantageous.
