About the Role

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a Faculty Member in Physics for its Preparatory Year Program. This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern region, and requires 2-5 years of experience. The role focuses on establishing students' foundational understanding of physics concepts and developing essential analytical and problem-solving skills for future healthcare and medical studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Physics lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions to preparatory year students.
• Teach core topics including mechanics, energy, waves, electricity, and basic optics.
• Simplify complex concepts for students from diverse academic backgrounds.
• Apply student-centered teaching approaches to enhance engagement and understanding.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard and other digital tools effectively.
• Prepare and administer assessments, including through platforms like ExamSoft or equivalent.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic reports.

Student Support and Development

• Provide academic guidance to students with varying levels of physics background.
• Identify struggling students and offer targeted support to improve their understanding.
• Develop students’ analytical thinking and quantitative reasoning abilities.

Academic Quality and Collaboration

• Ensure compliance with academic policies, quality standards, and accreditation requirements.
• Contribute to course development and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Submit course reports and other academic documentation on time.
• Participate in departmental meetings and academic initiatives.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to ensure aligned curriculum delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Physics or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Physics, preferably within preparatory or foundation programs.
• Strong ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively to diverse student groups.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Blackboard and various digital teaching tools.
