Fleet & Resource Planning Lead

About the Role

TalentHive is seeking a Fleet & Resource Planning Lead to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and offers a total monthly package of up to SAR 24,000, including base salary and fixed allowances, plus standard company benefits. The role focuses on managing the organization's overall equipment, fleet, and associated manpower resource pool across multiple projects and locations.

Role Context and Purpose

This position is centered on taking ownership of equipment, fleet, and manpower utilization within a large operational environment. It is distinct from a traditional Project Planner/Scheduler role, as it involves central ownership of resource visibility, allocation, and utilization. The objective is to understand resource availability, deployment, utilization effectiveness, and future availability for project requirements, thereby ensuring effective deployment, reducing idle time and downtime, and maximizing overall resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain central visibility of equipment, fleet, and associated manpower across projects and locations.
• Track the status of resources, including working, available, allocated, idle, under breakdown/maintenance, inspection, or mobilization.
• Match available equipment and manpower against current and upcoming project requirements.
• Monitor resource utilization, availability, idle time, and downtime.
• Identify under-utilized resources and recommend redeployment between projects.
• Track equipment breakdowns and understand asset unavailability duration.
• Forecast future resource availability and upcoming demand.
• Coordinate closely with Fleet, Operations, Maintenance, and Project teams.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs covering utilization, availability, downtime, idle resources, allocation, and future demand.
• Analyze utilization trends and recommend actions to improve overall resource efficiency.
• Help establish and develop a structured resource-planning process across the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong experience in equipment/fleet resource planning, asset utilization, equipment management, or a closely related operational function.
• Experience managing or monitoring a sizeable pool of heavy equipment, fleet, machinery, or operational assets.
• Strong understanding of resource allocation, availability, and utilization.
• Experience tracking idle equipment, downtime, breakdowns, and maintenance status.
• Experience allocating/redeploying equipment and manpower across multiple projects.
• Ability to forecast future resource demand and availability.
• Strong analytical skills with experience using resource data, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Comfortable coordinating across multiple projects, locations, and operational teams.
• Experience within heavy equipment rental, construction, infrastructure, transportation, logistics, industrial services, or another asset-intensive environment is highly advantageous.
