Housekeeping Supervisor

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team in Dammam. This full-time position involves overseeing the quality of guest rooms and public areas, ensuring adherence to established standards. The role requires coordination with various departments to maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities such as the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
• Manage daily housekeeping activities, including running sold room reports, verifying room status, identifying discrepant rooms, and prioritizing cleaning schedules.
• Update the status of departing guest rooms and resolve discrepancies with the Front Desk.
• Coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments to the team.
• Document and communicate issues to the next shift and complete all required paperwork.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating employees.
• Ensure compliance with all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and ensure confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Acknowledge and assist guests according to company standards, addressing service needs and supporting individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
• Ability to speak with others using clear and professional language.
• Capacity to develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
• Proficiency in entering and locating work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods across an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
